Finnegan's - The first Irish pub in Brazil

      Finnegan's, the oldest pub in São Paulo, was founded in 1988. It is located in an old townhouse on the corner of Arthur de Azevedo and Cristiano Viana in Pinheiros and keeps Irish traditions alive, such as the St. Patrick's Day celebration (Ireland's patron saint). Considered a haven for foreigners since its opening, the pub is also a place to relive the nostalgia of European pubs or for those who want to experience an authentic pub. Over the course of these 29 years, the pub has become synonymous with pioneering São Paulo nightlife. It was the first cyber bar in São Paulo and introduced Irish cuisine and Guinness beer to the city's menu. Its clientele is a mix of generations who enjoy a cool atmosphere with lots of Rock'n Roll and Blues. Many of the regulars are children of parents who met at the bar, and the walls are covered with photos of siblings, friends, and boyfriends, which tell a bit of the history of the place. This cozy, family atmosphere has made the pub a kind of second home for many generations. As such, the service is always informal and relaxed, as can be seen by the loyal clientele who regularly stop by after work to relax, chat, and enjoy a cold pint accompanied by a delicious, traditional Irish dish.

     Part of our job is to choose the best labels, visiting suppliers, importers and, when not, the producers themselves in distant lands. It is obviously a pleasurable job to be able to bring news, to be able to have daily promotions and still be able to satisfy the taste buds of each one of you, but the lesson we have learned throughout all this time is that there is no such thing as the "best beer", there are no "strongest" or "weakest" beers, what really exists is the right time to drink the right beer.

     We have more 8 kinds of draft beers, over 70 brands of beers (can and bottled) and over 60 brands of whiskey.
